Support La Puerta
We are located in Rio Arriba County in Northern New Mexico, known as one of the poorest counties in one of the poorest states of our nation. Childhood poverty is overwhelmingly high in rural communities in Northern New Mexico. It is our vision to create a sustainable private school in this area that will provide a quality education to a diverse population of students. You may have noticed that many of the truly good things in this world are a result of people opening their hearts. This generosity is often a thank you for assistance received in the past, an expression of compassion for a mission that touched someone's heart or the result of witnessing the inspiring story of someone in need.
Donations from generous contributors will help support the idea that all children can accomplish the extraordinary in an environment that fosters the growth of exceptional human beings. Your options for giving are almost as abundant as your reasons for giving—and we appreciate any support you have to offer. Here are 6 ways you can support our good work:
1. Founding Member Contribute $100 cash or more to La Puerta within the first year - October 1, 2009 through September 30, 2010 - and you will automatically become a “Founding Member” of the school. Founding Members will be commemorated by having their names imprinted on a brick/stone or tile that will become a permanent part of La Puerta’s Founder’s Garden. Thank you to all our Founding Members!
2. Donate Cash Today Give what you can to support quality education—no amount is too small. Donate today.
3. Sponsor a Student Allow a child to dream big by opening the door for him/her to attend La Puerta. By sponsoring a student you have the opportunity to pay full or partial tuition for that child.
4. Sponsor a Project You may have a special interest in one of our proposed projects for which your contribution could fund.
5. In-Kind Donations Services: Share your passion with students at La Puerta by teaching skills specific to your expertise. Materials & Supplies: You may have access to materials and supplies that could help facilitate our mission such as art supplies, gardening tools and equipment, musical instruments/supplies, theatrical supplies, and office materials/supplies/equipment. 6. Naming Opportunities Leave a lasting impression or honor a loved one by naming a part of La Puerta; classrooms, gardens, or other physical structure. Call our office at (505) 685-0006 for more information about naming opportunities.
