Pueblo de Abiquiu Library and Cultural Center — Dexter’s Coop & Orchard

We have created a partnership with the Library in Abiquiu. The focus of our first visit was to get acquainted with the Library and pull weeds in the side yard. The children learned that the Library serves as a historical and cultural landmark within the pueblo and that they have access to archived photographs.
From the
Library, we walked up to Dexter’s property to study his chicken coop. The childre n had lo ts of questions for Dexter and got lots of ideas on how we could improve our coop at the school.
